Thinking Together Therapy
We can start to heal the moment we feel heard....
My name is Rachel Vacalopoulos and I am a qualified counsellor, registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and founder of Thinking Together Therapy. I have extensive experience of listening to and thinking together with clients about all sorts of issues, including loss, trauma, depression, anxiety, addiction, suicidal feelings, stress, difficulties at work, self-esteem and confidence, sexuality and relationship difficulties. If you think I might be able to help you with whatever issues you are currently facing, I very much welcome your enquiry.
Sometimes, talking to someone about how we feel and what we are experiencing can provide some relief, and a sense of hope when all might seem hopeless. Whatever you may be going through or struggling with, I offer a confidential and safe space where we can think together about your experience.
My approach to counselling is based on listening, reflecting and thinking together with you about what you are currently experiencing, and how this can have links to past patterns and experiences in your life. It is hoped that by thinking together in this way you will be able to process feelings about whatever is troubling you, gain a greater understanding of yourself and ultimately enable change.
What I Offer
I offer short-term (6-12 sessions) and longer-term open-ended weekly counselling sessions to adult individuals. Sessions are 50 minutes and are usually at the same time, day and place each week.
I currently offer remote counselling sessions via Zoom and face-to-face sessions at The Practice Rooms in Cheltenham.
All counselling is completely confidential. I adhere to the BACP Code of Ethics.
Sessions are £50 per 50 minute session. I ask for payment by cash or bank transfer on, or before, the day of the session.
In unforeseen or exceptional circumstances, every effort will be made to rearrange sessions but this is not always possible. Missed sessions are charged at the usual fee.
I offer a limited number of reduced fee sessions for students in full-time education and those experiencing severe financial hardship. Please contact me for further information.
